Well this was a bit unexpected. I was humming and haring about going out as it looked hazy and too much low cloud in the distance but a sudden break in the cloud and the sun blasted through. I would usually plan where to go when taking photos but at this time I was in a rush (living in the UK has that effect when you see sun as we are used to rain and cloud).
As I am staying in Rottingdean this week decided to quickly head up to the windmill and try to get a good vantage point, whilst getting the 70-200 put on the 5D and various L glass and accessories falling out of my bag. Had minutes to spare to get this shot, and im glad for the IS on the lens because I was so fubared from trying to get there before it disappeared, my sniper breathing hold the camera and lens steady techniques were not working too well. Never the less, I`m happy with the shot. Did get a few others which had the whole pier in shot, but felt that this worked better.
